Terms and Conditions

  • The Maths Premier League (MPL) is open to students of Grades 6, 7 and 8 studying under any board worldwide.
  • Students must download the Countingwell app and register in order to participate.
  • It is the Students and School’s responsibility to ensure that they enter the school name correctly on the Countingwell app in order to be linked with the school for cumulative scores for school awards.
  • Students must take the test online on their personal smartphones. Countingwell will not provide any hardware to the students participating in the test.
  • Students must have their own high speed internet connection to participate in the test.
  • Students must complete at least two of the four preliminary tests to qualify for the Final Test.
  • Schools must ensure that their students do not misrepresent their grades or any other information. If a student misrepresents the grade, the school is liable to be disqualified from winning any prize.
  • Countingwell will not be responsible for students not being able to complete the test due to lack of infrastructure, slow internet speeds, device issues etc.
  • The test must be taken by the registered user alone. We expect the student to follow an honour code and to not cheat, take outside assistance or have anyone impersonate her/him during the test. Should we become aware of such acts, the student will be immediately disqualified.
  • The student may take each test only once. If they are found to have taken the test more than once, they will be disqualified. This may also lead to disqualification of the school.
  • The test will be conducted on the specified dates and times. Students must complete the test within the stipulated time. There will be no extension of time,
  • Countingwell will attempt to notify qualified students by in-app notification, SMS and any other means possible. It is up to the student to provide correct contact information in order to be able to be notified of their qualification for the Final test.
  • Countingwell will not encourage any requests to allow participation of students who have not qualified for the final test under any circumstances.
  • Final winners and their prizes will be announced on or before 24 September 2021. Students may check back on their app or the countingwell website for their status. Schools can view the leaderboard on the countingwell web site.
  • Winning students and schools may be required to furnish additional details in order for us to deliver your prize or deposit your scholarship amount. We will make up to 3 attempts to get in touch with the winners to gather such information. Should the winners be unreachable or their contact information inaccurate, they will be considered as disqualified.
  • All cash prizes are subject to Tax Deduction at Source as per Indian Government Laws. The prize amounts mentioned are gross amounts and the final prize money will be distributed after appropriate tax deduction as required by law.
  • We will get in touch with the winners individually to intimate them and explain how to claim the prize.
  • Immediate (blood) relatives of employees of Countingwell, and its contractors who were involved in developing the scholarship test are not eligible to participate in the test.
  • The test will be conducted in English language and is related to mathematics. Countingwell does not guarantee the alignment of the questions with a specific text book, syllabus or curriculum. However, the content will be largely aligned with the NCERT’s curriculum for the respective classes.
  • Each student may get different questions during the test, to align with their Grade and to avoid potential plagiarism. The questions are chosen randomly by a computer program and no dispute on the questions, its order or content will be entertained under any circumstances. The creation and selection of questions and its evaluation rests solely with Countingwell.
  • The algorithms to evaluate the performance of students in the test is proprietary and developed by Countingwell. Details of the algorithm are a trade secret and will not be disclosed under any circumstances.
  • The selection of winners is at the sole discretion of Countingwell. Countingwell will make its best efforts to ensure that the selection is free and fair to all participants.
  • Winner selection is based on high scores in the scholarship test in the respective category (grade) and the shortest time taken, among other factors.
  • School winners of highest totals and average in any category will be based on cumulative total scores and averages across all five events.
  • All prize money is in Indian Rupees. If you are an international participant, you will receive an equivalent amount. Final exchange rates will depend on the foreign exchange provider.
